Laurie Metcalf

Laurie Metcalf is an American actress known for her versatile performances across stage and screen. Born on June 16, 1955, she has received numerous accolades in her career spanning over four decades, including two Tony Awards and four Primetime Emmy Awards. Metcalf began her career with the Steppenwolf Theatre Company and has a strong presence in Chicago theatre. She made her Broadway debut in 1985 and has been nominated for six Tony Awards, winning for Best Actress in a Play in 2017 and Best Featured Actress in a Play in 2018.
