Lavell Maurice Crawford (born November 11, 1968) is an American comedian and actor. He is best known for his roles as Huell Babineaux in Breaking Bad (2011–2013) and its spin-off Better Call Saul (2017–2022), as well as Gus Patch in the Netflix original film The Ridiculous 6 (2015). Crawford's 2021 Comedy Vaccine special was nominated for the Grammy Award for Best Comedy Album. Born in Missouri and raised in Pagedale, outside St. Louis, Crawford struggled with weight as a child and had a near-drowning experience at age ten. He began his career as a standup comedian in 1990, performing on BET's ComicView and later appearing on NBC's Last Comic Standing in 2007.
