Lee Majors (born April 23, 1939) is an American actor known for his roles in various television series. He played Heath Barkley on the Western series The Big Valley (1965–1969), Colonel Steve Austin on the science-fiction action series The Six Million Dollar Man (1973–1978), and Colt Seavers on the action series The Fall Guy (1981–1986). Born in Wyandotte, Michigan, Majors was adopted by his uncle and aunt after his parents passed away in separate accidents. He attended Middlesboro High School, where he excelled in track and football, and later received a scholarship to Indiana University. Majors began his career in Hollywood and gained recognition for his versatile performances.
