Lee Summers
Lee Summers (born 1958) is an American theatre, television and film actor, singer, librettist, composer, director, and theatre producer. He is best known for creating and producing Off-Broadway's From My Hometown. Summers has received accolades for his directing work, including two Audelco Awards for 'Best Director of a Musical' in 2022 and 2018. His Broadway debut was in the original production of Dreamgirls. He also received the 2010 Bistro Award for 'Most Outstanding Entertainer' for his one-person show Winds of Change. Summers has appeared in various TV and film roles, such as Malcolm X, Law & Order, Boardwalk Empire, and Blue Bloods. He was born in Nashville, Tennessee.
