She gained recognition for her appearances on Broadway in renowned productions like The Will Rogers Follies, Crazy for You, and A Funny Thing Happened on the Way to the Forum alongside Nathan Lane. Notably, Leigh originated the role of Go-To-Hell-Kitty in the 1996 Broadway production of Chicago The Musical.
