Leila Birch

Leila Birch (born 1978) is an English actress known for her portrayal of Teresa di Marco in the BBC One soap opera EastEnders from 1998 to 2000. Birch grew up in South East London and is of British, Italian, and Irish descent. She trained at the Italia Conti Academy of Theatre Arts, graduating with a Diploma in Performing Arts. Birch has also studied Shakespeare at RADA and Drama at Yale University. Her television credits include One Night of Shakespeare, The Bill, Thief Takers, Renford Rejects, and the pilot episode of the NBC Universal series Day One. Birch's stage work includes performances at the Arcola Theatre, outdoor Shakespeare festivals, national tours, and pantomime. She is currently based in the United States.
