Leisha Hailey is an American actress and musician, born on July 11, 1971. She gained recognition for her role as Alice Pieszecki in the Showtime Networks series The L Word and its revival The L Word: Generation Q. Hailey started her career as a musician in the pop duo The Murmurs and later formed the band Uh Huh Her. Currently, she continues to portray Alice in The L Word: Generation Q and co-hosts the podcast PANTS with her close friend and fellow L Word star, Kate Moennig. Hailey was born in Okinawa, USCAR (now Japan) and grew up in Bellevue, Nebraska. She came out as a lesbian at the age of 17 and moved to New York City to study at the American Academy of Dramatic Arts.
