Lena Kaur

Lena Kaur is a British actress born in 1986. She gained recognition for her role as Leila Roy on the Channel 4 soap Hollyoaks. Kaur grew up in Almondbury, Huddersfield, and is of Asian descent. She attended Almondbury High School and later studied acting at Rose Bruford College in Kent, graduating in 2007. Kaur's career took off when she joined the original cast of the BBC Three comedy sketch show Scallywagga in 2007. In 2008, she was cast in the role of Leila Roy in Hollyoaks and praised the show's producer for not stereotyping Asians. Kaur is known for her Westernized British Asian persona and her versatile acting skills.
