Lennie Michael James is a British actor, screenwriter, and playwright. He is known for his role as Morgan Jones in the popular AMC television series The Walking Dead and its spin-off, Fear the Walking Dead. James also starred as DCI Tony Gates in the first season of the critically acclaimed series Line of Duty. Other notable television roles include Glen Boyle in the medical drama Critical, Robert Hawkins in the CBS series Jericho, and Detective Joe Geddes in the AMC series Low Winter Sun. In 2018, James created and starred in the Sky Atlantic drama series Save Me, which received critical acclaim. Born in Nottingham, England, James is of Afro-Trinidadian descent and attended Ernest Bevin College in South London.
