Lennox Claudius Lewis is a former professional boxer and boxing commentator. He was born on September 2, 1965. Lewis competed from 1989 to 2003 and is recognized as a three-time world heavyweight champion and a two-time lineal champion. He holds the distinction of being the last heavyweight to hold the undisputed championship. Lewis represented Canada in the 1984 and 1988 Olympics, winning a gold medal in the super-heavyweight division in the latter. As a professional, he won numerous regional heavyweight titles and became the WBC heavyweight champion in 1992. Lewis defended the title three times before a knockout loss to Oliver McCall in 1994, which he avenged in 1997.
