Leo Staar Biography
Leo Staar (born 24 July 1986) is an English actor known for his roles in both television and theater. He was born in London and raised in Worthing, West Sussex. After graduating from drama school in 2009, Staar began his acting career in theater, performing in various productions such as The Tempest and Romeo and Juliet. In 2010, he appeared in Terence Rattigan's After the Dance at the National Theatre, alongside Benedict Cumberbatch. Staar gained public recognition in 2013 for his portrayal of Alec Jesmond in the popular TV series Call the Midwife. He further showcased his talent by playing Inspector Lapointe in Maigret. Staar's notable stage appearances include Much Ado About Nothing alongside David Tennant and Catherine Tate.
