Leon Belasco
Leon Belasco (born Leonid Simeonovich Berladsky; 11 October 1902 – 1 June 1988) was a Russian-American actor and musician known for his career in film and television spanning from the 1920s to the 1980s. With over 100 film credits, Belasco made his debut in 1926 in the silent film The Best People. He also had a successful career as a musician, playing the violin and leading his own band, which performed in hotels in and around New York City. Belasco's orchestra was featured on the Oldsmobile Program on CBS radio in 1933. Born in Odessa, Russian Empire, Belasco trained as a musician in Japan and Manchuria, and was briefly the concertmaster of the Japanese-Russian Symphony Orchestra.
