Leon Rippy Biography
Leon Rippy (born October 30, 1949) is an American character actor known for his work in film and television. He has been active in the industry since 1983, appearing in numerous films and recurring roles on television. Rippy is best known for his roles as Earl the Angel on the series Saving Grace, Tom Nuttall on the series Deadwood, and John Billings in The Patriot (2000). Before pursuing acting, Rippy worked in various occupations including with a circus and as a foreman of a cattle ranch. He has also founded and operated two theatre companies. Rippy has appeared in over seventy plays and has worked with director Roland Emmerich on seven movies. Some of his notable film appearances include Moon 44, Stargate, and The Alamo. On television, he has made appearances on shows such as Supernatural, Criminal Minds, and Justified.
