He first brought the character to life in the original Star Trek series in 1966 and continued to play the role in Star Trek: The Animated Series, the first six Star Trek films, and Star Trek: The Next Generation. Nimoy also directed films such as Star Trek III: The Search for Spock (1984) and Star Trek IV: The Voyage Home (1986), and appeared in various other films, television shows, and video games. Apart from acting, Nimoy had talents in directing, photography, writing, singing, and songwriting.
