Lesley Conroy

Lesley Conroy (born 1974) is an Irish actress, director, and screenwriter. She is known for her roles in Fair City and Mattie. Conroy, a fluent Irish speaker from County Cork, graduated from University College Cork in 1993 with a BA in English and French. She is also a graduate of Trinity College Dublin's Samuel Beckett Centre. In 2008, Conroy appeared in the film Eden and gained recognition alongside Pat Shortt in Mattie. She collaborated with Shortt again in the 2013 feature Life's a Breeze. Conroy joined the cast of Fair City in 2017 and directed and wrote the short film Cleaner. In 2020, she won the Scripts Ireland short film script competition for Cleaner.
