Lesley Garrett

Lesley Garrett, CBE, is an English soprano singer, musician, broadcaster, and media personality. Born on April 10, 1955, in Thorne, near Doncaster, Lesley grew up in a musical family and inherited their love for music. Her grandfather, Colin Wall, was a classical pianist, and her mother, Margaret, was a talented singing seamstress. Lesley attended Thorne Fieldside Infant and Junior Schools as well as Thorne Grammar School. She later studied at the Royal Academy of Music, where she also worked as a life model. Lesley is known for her versatility in both opera and crossover music, and she has had a successful career in television and stage performances.
