Lesley Stahl

Lesley Rene Stahl (born December 16, 1941) is an American television journalist. She began her career with CBS News in 1971 as a producer and has since become a prominent figure in the industry. Stahl is best known for her work on CBS's 60 Minutes, where she has been reporting since 1991. She has gained recognition for her news and television investigations, as well as her award-winning foreign reporting. Stahl has received numerous journalism awards throughout her career, including a Lifetime Achievement News and Documentary Emmy Award in 2003. Prior to joining 60 Minutes, she served as CBS News White House correspondent, making history as the first woman to hold that position during the Jimmy Carter, Ronald Reagan, and George H. W. Bush presidencies. Stahl also served as the moderator of Face the Nation, CBS News' Sunday public affairs broadcast, from 1983 to 1991.
