Leslie Ayvazian Biography
Leslie Ayvazian is an Armenian award-winning playwright, character actress, and adjunct professor at the graduate school of Columbia University. She is best known for her play Nine Armenians, which earned her the Roger L. Stevens and Susan Smith Blackburn Prize. Ayvazian's works have been produced off-Broadway, in major regional theaters, and in Poland and Slovakia. As an actress, she has appeared in films such as Working Girl, Alice, and Regarding Henry, and has made recurring guest appearances in the Law and Order franchise. Ayvazian's most recent play, Make Me, was produced by the Atlantic Theater Company. She continues to contribute to the world of theater through her writing and teaching.
