Lester Dorr, born Harry Lester Dorr on May 8, 1893, was an American actor known for his extensive career in stage, film, and television. From 1917 to 1975, Dorr appeared in over 500 productions, showcasing his versatility as a supporting actor and reliability as a bit player. Although most of his roles were uncredited, Dorr played peripheral characters with limited dialogue, portraying various occupations such as newspaper reporters, hotel clerks, taxi drivers, salesmen, police officers, military personnel, waiters, and bartenders. Born in Massachusetts, Dorr was the oldest of 11 children. His parents moved to Lynn shortly after his birth. Dorr's filmography represents his commitment and talent as a dependable actor.
