Lester Speight, born on August 28, 1963, is an American former football player, professional wrestler, and actor. He gained significant recognition for his portrayal of Terry Tate: Office Linebacker in a series of Reebok commercials that debuted during Super Bowl XXXVII. Speight is also known for his portrayal of Augustus Cole in the Gears of War series of video games. Born in Baltimore, Maryland, he attended Old Mill High School where he excelled in football, track, and basketball. Speight went on to attend Morgan State University, where he was a Division 1 All-American Linebacker. Although he did not make it to the NFL, he tried out for the United States Football League in 1985. Speight's athletic abilities and versatile career have made him a notable figure in the entertainment industry.
