Lewis Arquette Biography
Lewis Michael Arquette (December 14, 1935 – February 10, 2001) was an American actor best known for playing J. D. Pickett on the television series The Waltons from 1978 to 1981. Born in Chicago, Illinois, he was the son of Mildred Nesbitt Le May and actor Cliff Arquette. Arquette managed The Second City theater in Chicago before moving to a Subud commune in Front Royal, Virginia with his family in 1970. His children, Patricia, Alexis, Rosanna, David, and Richmond Arquette, are all actors. Arquette frequently appeared in movies alongside his sons. He was the former father-in-law of actress Courteney Cox, film composer James Newton Howard, and actors Thomas Jane and Nicolas Cage.
