Lewis Andrew Schoenbrun, born September 21, 1958, is an American filmmaker and editor. He developed a passion for film at a young age, particularly inspired by director Stanley Kubrick's 2001: A Space Odyssey. Schoenbrun began creating short films with a super 8 camera at eleven and received his own camera at thirteen. In the 1970s, he worked at a PBS station in Atlanta and later joined Tela Moving Images in Springfield, Massachusetts. During this time, he edited a documentary film about a trip to Kenya with aspiring astronomers. In the late 1980s, Schoenbrun served as an assistant editor on Mystic Pizza and UHF. He went on to direct various direct-to-video films in the 2000s.
