Lilan Bowden is an American actress, filmmaker, and comedian. Born on September 1, 1985, she is best known for her roles as Rebecca 'Bex' Mack in the TV series Andi Mack and Amber Kang in the Netflix series Murderville. Bowden is of mixed race, with a Taiwanese mother and white father. She attended Castro Valley High School, where she joined an improv club and graduated in 2002. Bowden continued to pursue comedy at the University of California, Irvine. After graduation, she moved to Los Angeles and became a member of the Upright Citizens Brigade. Bowden also gained recognition for her Funny or Die videos created with her writing partner Wilder Smith. Despite facing challenges in auditions due to her mixed race heritage, Bowden continues to make her mark in the entertainment industry.
