Lillian Lux (June 20, 1918 – June 11, 2005) was an American singer, author, songwriter, and actress known for her work in Yiddish theater and Yiddish vaudeville. Born in Brooklyn to a jeweler father and a descendant of Nachman of Breslov, Lux began performing at the Yiddish Art Theater at the age of seven. By 14, she was a chorus girl and appeared on various Yiddish radio programs. Lux formed a lifelong friendship with Danny Kaye while working in the Catskills. She met her husband, Yiddish actor-director Pesach Burstein, in 1938 during a theater tour in South America. The couple married in Montevideo, Uruguay, and in 1962, they moved.
