Lillo Brancato Biography
Lillo Brancato Jr. is an American actor born on August 30, 1976, in Bogotá, Colombia. Adopted at four months old, he was raised in Yonkers, New York, by his Italian-American parents, Lillo Brancato Sr. and Domenica. Brancato is best known for his role as Calogero 'C' Anello in Robert De Niro's 1993 directorial debut, A Bronx Tale, and as Matthew Bevilaqua on The Sopranos. However, his career took a dark turn when he was arrested on December 10, 2005, for the murder of off-duty police officer Daniel Enchautegui during a botched burglary. After a trial, he was found not guilty of murder but guilty of first-degree attempted burglary and sentenced to 10 years in prison. Brancato was released on parole on December 31, 2013.
