Lina Roessler

Lina Roessler (born 1 January 1985) is a Canadian actress, director, writer, and producer. She is known for directing the film Best Sellers and has appeared in various TV and film roles. Roessler was born in Toronto, Canada and studied English and creative writing at Concordia University. She also trained at the American Academy of Dramatic Arts in New York and studied film production at York University. Roessler is a 2018 Berlinale Talent alum. She has written a collection of 50 short stories, one of which she adapted into a short film that won a prize at its first festival. Roessler went on to direct several short films before making her feature-length debut with Best Sellers, starring Michael Caine and Aubrey Plaza. The film was screened at Berlinale Special Gala.
