Linda Carlson (May 12, 1945 – October 26, 2021) was an American actress known for her work in theater and film. Born in Knoxville, Tennessee, on May 12, 1945, and raised in Minnesota, she was of Swedish descent. Carlson attended the University of Iowa, where she received a bachelor's degree in speech and dramatic arts. She later pursued further education at the NYU School of the Arts, earning a master's degree. Carlson began her professional theater career with the Negro Ensemble Company in New York and went on to perform at various theaters, including the Guthrie Theater in Minneapolis and the McCarter Theatre in Princeton. She also appeared in off-Broadway productions. Carlson's contributions to the acting industry are highly regarded.
