    Lindsey Coulson (born 13 April 1960) is an English actress, best known for her role as Carol Jackson in the BBC soap opera EastEnders. She won the 2000 British Soap Award for Best Dramatic Performance for her portrayal of Carol. Coulson has also appeared in various television shows, including Clocking Off (2001), Murder Investigation Team (2003–2005), The Street (2006), Bulletproof (2018–2021), and The Bay (2019–2021). Her film credits include AKA (2003) and Funny Cow (2017). Prior to her acting career, Coulson worked as a hairdresser for six years before studying acting at the Mountview Academy of Theatre Arts. She gained recognition for her role in an experimental production of Hamlet.
