Lisa Desjardins
Lisa Desjardins is an American political journalist known for her work as a correspondent at PBS NewsHour. Born on January 29, 1972, in Hawaii, she grew up in Annandale, Virginia. With her father being a retired naval officer and college instructor, Desjardins developed an interest in politics during her childhood. She studied economics at the College of William & Mary and pursued Russian studies at Herzen University in Saint Petersburg, where she became fluent in Russian. Desjardins later attended Northwestern University's Medill School of Journalism, earning a Master of Science degree in journalism. She has worked for the Associated Press, CNN Radio, and has reported on five U.S. presidential elections.
