Lisa Mordente

Lisa Mordente (born July 30, 1958) is an American actress, singer, and dancer. She was born in New Hyde Park, Long Island, to Tony Mordente, a choreographer and television director, and Chita Rivera, an actress and dancer. Mordente made her Broadway debut in the 1978 musical Platinum, opposite Alexis Smith. Her performance in Marlowe (1981) earned her a nomination for the Tony Award for Best Performance by a Leading Actress in a Musical. In addition to her theater work, Mordente has appeared on television, with credits including a regular role on the 1976 series Viva Valdez and guest appearances on popular shows like Starsky and Hutch, Welcome Back, Kotter, and The Cosby Show. She has also worked as a choreographer for movies such as The End and Sister Act.
