Lisa Ryder

Lisa Ryder (born 26 October 1970) is a Canadian actress known for her role as Beka Valentine on the science fiction television series Andromeda. She was born in Edmonton, Alberta and attended the University of Toronto, where she began her acting career. After forming a local theatre group called Bald Ego Productions, Ryder secured her first film and television roles in the mid-1990s. She gained recognition as Detective Tracy Vetter on the final season of Forever Knight and later joined the cast of Andromeda in 2000, appearing in all 110 episodes until the series ended in 2005. Ryder also co-starred in the film Jason X and made guest appearances in Earth: Final Conflict, Total Recall 2070, Kung Fu: The Legend Continues, and Wind at My Back.
