Lloyd Owen is an English actor known for his roles in various movies and TV shows. He was born on April 14, 1966, in Westminster, London, England. Owen received his training at the National Youth Theatre and the Royal Academy of Dramatic Art (RADA) in London. He gained recognition for his portrayal of Indiana Jones's father, Professor Dr. Henry Jones, Sr., in The Young Indiana Jones Chronicles from 1992 to 1993. Owen also played the character Paul Bowman-MacDonald in the BBC Scotland series Monarch of the Glen from 2002 to 2005. Additionally, he appeared in films such as Miss Potter (2006) and Apollo 18 (2011). Currently, Owen stars as Elendil in the Amazon Prime fantasy series The Lord of the Rings: The Rings of Power (2022).
