Lonette Rita McKee (born July 22, 1954) is an American actress best known for her role as Sister Williams in the original 1976 musical-drama film Sparkle. McKee has had notable roles in movies such as The Cotton Club, Jungle Fever, ATL, and Honey. Born in Detroit, Michigan, McKee began her career in the music industry as a child prodigy, writing music, singing, and playing keyboards. In 1968, she recorded her first record, 'Don't Worry About It,' which became a regional pop/R&B hit.
