Lonny Price is an American director, actor, and writer, primarily known for his work in theatre. He was born on March 9, 1959, in New York City to Edie L. (Greene), a merchandise manager, and Murray A. Price, a car leasing company owner. Price grew up in Fresh Meadows, New York, and Metuchen, New Jersey. He attended the Fiorello H. LaGuardia High School of Performing Arts and briefly studied at the Juilliard School before embarking on his professional acting career. Price gained recognition for creating the role of Charley Kringas in the Broadway musical Merrily We Roll Along and has also appeared in productions like Dirty Dancing and The Muppets Take Manhattan. In addition to acting, he has directed notable New York productions such as Sunset Boulevard, Sweeney Todd, Company, and Sondheim! The Birthday Concert.
