Loren Dean (born July 31, 1969) is an American actor known for his work on stage and in feature films. Born as Loren Dean Jovicic on July 31, 1969, in Las Vegas, Nevada, he faced a challenging childhood as his parents divorced when he was young. Raised by his mother in Los Angeles, California, Dean developed a love for film after frequently going to the movies with his father. At the age of 16, he ran away from home but later graduated from Santa Monica High School in 1986. Dean relocated to New York City to pursue acting and gained recognition for his stage performances, including winning a Theatre World Award in 1989 for his debut in the play Amulets Against the Dragon Forces. He has also worked extensively with acclaimed screenwriter John Patrick Shanley.
