Loretta Yu

Loretta Yu is a Canadian actress of Chinese descent, born on December 22, 1982, in Montreal, Quebec. Raised in Nova Scotia, she spent her early years working in her family's restaurant. Yu holds a Bachelor of Arts degree in theatre from Acadia University. Starting her career in Halifax, she gained recognition for her roles in productions like Jason Eisener's fake trailer for Hobo with a Shotgun and Jay Dahl's film There are Monsters. Later, she moved to Toronto, where she appeared in various television series such as Degrassi: The Next Generation, The Listener, Hemlock Grove, and Blood and Water. Yu has also appeared in movies like The Circuit and Nonsense Revolution. Recently, she played Ana in the web-series Begin/Again and Cai in Dino Dana. In 2021, she made an appearance in an episode of the drama series Cam Boy.
