Lorne Cardinal

Lorne Cardinal (born January 6, 1964) is a Canadian stage, television, and film actor, as well as an accomplished stage and TV director. He is best known for his role as Sergeant Davis Quinton on the comedy series Corner Gas. Born on the Sucker Creek First Nation reserve at Lesser Slave Lake, Cardinal attended local schools before earning a B.F.A. degree in acting from the University of Alberta in 1993. He is the first Indigenous student to achieve this. Cardinal is also a rugby union enthusiast and has played for the Edmonton Druids RFC and the Strathcona Druids, making him the first Indigenous person to play for the latter team. With roles in productions like Insomnia, renegadepress.com, Crazy Horse, and Wolf Canyon, Cardinal has showcased his talent in theatre, film, and television, often portraying First Nations characters.
