Lotte Verbeek Biography
Lotte Verbeek is a Dutch actress, dancer, and model born on June 24, 1982, in Venlo, Netherlands. She gained recognition for her portrayals of Giulia Farnese in The Borgias and Geillis Duncan in Outlander. Verbeek attended Gymnasium Collegium Marianum in Venlo and graduated from Theaterschool in Amsterdam in 2008. Prior to that, she studied at the Dance Academy in Arnhem and the Amsterdam Academy of Jazz/Musical Theatre and Dance, where she graduated in 2006. Verbeek's acting career began with lead roles in Dutch films such as Moes and LEFT. In 2009, she won the Leopard for best actress at the Locarno International Film Festival for her performance in Nothing Personal.
