Lou Marini, born Louis William Marini Jr. on May 13, 1945, is an American saxophonist, arranger, and composer. He is renowned for his contributions in jazz, rock, blues, and soul music genres. Marini is best known for his association with The Blues Brothers. Born in Charleston, South Carolina to Italian immigrant parents from Trentino, Marini graduated from Fairless High School in Navarre, Ohio. His father, Lou Marini Sr., was the high school's band director. Marini Jr. attended North Texas State University College of Music and played in the One O'Clock Lab Band. He has received numerous accolades, and his talent continues to captivate audiences worldwide.
