Lou Savarese (born July 14, 1965) is an American former professional boxer and mixed martial artist. He competed from 1989 to 2013. Savarese, hailing from Greenwood Lake, New York, challenged for the Lineal Heavyweight Championship on April 26, 1997, against George Foreman, but lost by a controversial split decision. In 1998, he won the IBA World Heavyweight title with a first-round knockout victory over Buster Douglas. Savarese's career also saw him face off against notable opponents such as Mike Tyson and Evander Holyfield. Throughout his career, he accumulated various titles and accolades, showcasing his strength and skill in the ring.
