Louis Nye

Louis Nye (May 1, 1913 – October 9, 2005) was an American comedic actor best known for his work on countless television, film, and radio programs. Born Louis Neistat in Hartford, Connecticut, Nye entertained troops during World War II before pursuing a career in acting. He had a talent for comedy and became known for his comedic roles. Nye's parents were Yiddish speaking Jews from the Russian Empire who emigrated to the United States in 1906. He attended Weaver High School but was not a good student. Nye eventually found success in New York City, where he appeared on various shows and gained popularity for his comedic talents.
