Lucas Edwin Babin (born July 30, 1979) is an American attorney, actor, and fashion model. He is currently serving as the district attorney of Tyler County, Texas since 2019. Babin gained recognition for his portrayal of Spider in the popular film School of Rock (2003). Born in Beaumont, Texas, he is the son of Republican Congressman Brian Babin and brother of author Leif Babin. Babin holds a Bachelor of Arts degree from Sam Houston State University and a Juris Doctor from the University of Houston Law School. In addition to his acting career, he has modeled for various high-end fashion brands, including Gucci, Versace, Calvin Klein, and Louis Vuitton. Babin is also known for his appearance in the Brazilian telenovela América, making him the only American actor to star in a Brazilian telenovela. He is fluent in Portuguese.
