Lucy Martin

Lucy Martin (born 5 May 1990) is a British retired professional road and track cyclist. She was born in Whiston, Merseyside and grew up in Widnes, Cheshire. Martin was discovered by British Cycling's Olympic Talent Team at the age of 15 and went on to join their under-23 Olympic Academy Programme. In 2011, she was signed by a women's team as one of four British riders. Martin competed in the Women's road race at the 2012 Summer Olympics. She announced her retirement from competition in August 2015 and later joined another team, working on their digital content and PR. Martin also works as a commentator on professional cycling.
