Lucy Taylor

Lucy Taylor (born November 30, 1951) is an American horror novelist known for her psychological thrillers and extreme human relationship themes. She gained recognition for her debut novel, The Safety of Unknown Cities, which received several awards including the Bram Stoker Award for Best First Novel and the International Horror Guild Award for Best First Novel in 1995. Taylor has been referred to as 'The Queen of Erotic Horror' due to the nature of her works, which often explore dark and sensual themes. Additionally, her collection The Flesh Artist was nominated for the Bram Stoker Award for Superior Achievement in a Fiction Collection in 1994. Taylor holds a B.A. in philosophy and has also written non-fiction travel pieces.
