Lukas Engel

Lukas Ahlefeld Engel is a Danish professional footballer who currently plays as a left-back or left midfielder for EFL Championship club Middlesbrough. He was born on 14 December 1998. Engel made his professional debut in the Danish Superliga for Vejle on 2 February 2021, playing against AGF. Later, on 31 January 2022, he was loaned out to Silkeborg IF, a Danish 1st Division club, for the remainder of the season. On 21 June 2022, it was confirmed that Silkeborg IF had bought Engel's contract from Vejle, and he signed a five-year deal with the club.
