Lydia Bruce

Lydia Slubowski, known professionally as Lydia Bruce, was an American actress. Born on January 8, 1931, she began her acting career in 1961, playing various roles on television and appearing in the Broadway play A Call on Kuprin. Bruce is best known for her portrayal of Dr. Maggie Powers in the long-running soap opera The Doctors, a role she played from 1968 until the show's conclusion in 1982. She also made a brief appearance on Guiding Light and portrayed Judge Martha Kershan on Law & Order in 1995. Lydia Bruce passed away on May 7, 2008, in Lancaster, Pennsylvania, at the age of 77.
