Lynn Colliar Biography
Lynn Colliar (born 22 November 1967) is a Canadian television anchor. She was born in Scotland and raised in Port Coquitlam, British Columbia. Colliar graduated from Port Coquitlam Senior Secondary and earned a degree in biology from SFU. After working as a veterinary clinic assistant for seven years, she pursued her passion for journalism and completed the two-year Broadcast Journalism program at the British Columbia Institute of Technology. In 1991, Colliar joined Global BC, starting as a newswriter and later becoming a full-time reporter. Her work on the production 'A Shred of Evidence' earned her the Excellence in News Reporting Award from the British Columbia Association of Broadcasters. Colliar was also inducted into the Terry Fox Wall of Fame in 2005 and served as the sole morning news anchor for Global BC from 1998 to 2001.
