Lynn Herring

Sheryl Lynn Herring, born on September 22, 1958, is an American soap opera actress best known for her portrayal of Lucy Coe on the long-running soap opera General Hospital since 1986. Hailing from Enid, Oklahoma, Herring began her career as Miss Virginia USA 1977, and was the 4th runner-up for Miss USA 1977. She holds a B.A. in psychology from Louisiana State University and was a member of Delta Delta Delta sorority. Herring's notable work in daytime television includes her role as Lucy Coe, which started as a mousy librarian and evolved into a glamorous and man-hungry character. She also appeared on Days of Our Lives as Lisanne Gardner before moving on to other opportunities.
