Madeleine Potter is an American actress known for her roles in over 20 films and TV shows. She has worked with renowned director James Ivory on four productions. Potter has also showcased her talent on stage in both the United States and the United Kingdom. She made her New York stage debut in 1981 in 'Love's Labor's Lost' at The Shakespeare Center. Born into a distinguished family, she is the daughter of American diplomat Philip B.K. Potter and Madeleine Mulqueen Daly. Potter is also related to Medal of Honor recipient Michael J. Daly and former New York Mayor Thomas Francis Gilroy. She was married to actor Patrick Fitzgerald, and they have one child named Madeleine Daly, who has also pursued acting.
