Madge Sinclair
Madge Sinclair (April 28, 1938 – December 20, 1995) was a Jamaican actress best known for her roles in movies such as Cornbread, Earl and Me (1975), Convoy (1978), and Coming to America (1988). She also appeared in the TV series Trapper John, M.D. (1980–1986) and the miniseries Roots (1977). Sinclair voiced the character of Sarabi in the Disney film The Lion King (1994). Born in Kingston, Jamaica, Sinclair studied at Shortwood College for Women and later moved to New York to pursue acting. She began her career with Joseph Papp's Public Theatre and was a five-time Emmy Award nominee, winning in 1991 for Gabriel's Fire.
